What A Home Inspection Is Not A home inspection is not an property appraisal that determines the value of a home. Seacliff Inspections will not advise you as to whether you should buy the home or what you should pay for the home. The home buying process is personal and there are many factors outside of the home inspection itself which influence your final decision. It is impossible for us to understand all of the reasons why you may want or not want a particular home. A home inspection is not a code inspection that will verify local building code or insurance company compliance. Seacliff Inspections does not provide a pass or fail result. Generally, if a home is built before code revisions, it may not be required to comply with today's code. Enforcement of the building code is not retroactive. However, safety issues, where apparent, will be identified.
